DeFi Technologies Inc. has announced its voting results from the Special Meeting of Shareholders and Annual Generals meeting held on September 13th 2021. The elected directors were nominees who were listed in the Management Information Circular dated August 15th 2021. At the meeting, 14.68% of the issued and outstanding shares of DeFi Technologies were represented.
The shareholders voted 99.96%, favoring the approval of the appointment of RSM Canada LLP as the Company’s auditors. 0.04% of the shareholders withheld their vote on the auditor appointment. The shareholders voted 99.349% favoring the approval of the Company’s stock option plan. 0.651% of the shareholders withheld their vote on approval of the Stock Option Plan.
The shareholders voted 99.30% favoring the approval of some stock options falling under the Stock Option Plan. 0.70% of the shareholders withheld their vote on the repricing of the stock option.
The shareholders voted 99.7% favoring the approval of the company’s deferred unit plan (DSU Plan). 0.27% of the shareholders withheld their vote on the DSU plan approval. The company announced it would not proceed with the proposed acquisition of Protos Asset Management GmbH and DeFi Yield Technologies. The company will continue to evaluate other avenues in the DeFi sector that might be accretive to the shareholder value.
